Biographies

Nicole Weidenbenner holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Mizzou and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Environmental Engineering. For almost 20 years, Nicole has served as a permit writer in the Missouri Department of Natural Resource’s Air Pollution Control Program. She lives in Jefferson City with her son Cody, a junior in high school, and her parrot Sweetie, the Queen of the house. Nicole enjoys hiking, biking the Katy Trail, and spending time with friends and family.

Jill Wade is a graduate of the University of Missouri, Columbia with a degree in Civil Engineering. She has been a licensed professional Engineer in Missouri since 2005. She has worked for the Air Pollution Control Program for 19 years in both the Permits Section, Operating Permits Unit and the Air Quality Analysis Section, Emissions Inventory Unit. Jill has three daughters with her husband Brent and in her free time she enjoys cooking and traveling.

Kendall Hale is a graduate of Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri with a degree in Chemistry and Mathematics and the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in Chemical Engineering.  He has been a licensed Profession Engineer in the State of Missouri since 2004.  He has been with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources’ Air Pollution Control Program for 23 years, the majority of the time has been spent in the Permit Section.  He served as the New Source Review Unit Chief from 2004 until 2011.  Since 2011 he has served as the Air Pollution Control Program’s Permit Section Chief since 2011.

Alana Hess – Graduated from the University of Missouri – Columbia in 2009 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering. Began working for the Missouri Department of Natural Resources’ Air Pollution Control Program in June 2009 in the Operating Permits Unit. Around 2013 she began cross-training with the Construction Permits Unit. Became a licensed Professional Engineer with the State of Missouri in December 2013.  Completed the Department of Natural Resources’ Leadership Ladder Program in 2014.  I’ve issued hundreds of permits. I’m a numbers girl at heart, so I love performing and reviewing emissions calculations. I like feeling like I’m doing my part to help protect Missouri’s environment. My husband, Zack, and I have three children, Zane (5), Zip (3), and Zayla (9 months). We live in Wardsville, Missouri. We like to go hiking at the Runge Center and swimming at the ARC.
